Date Dream/Premonition Occurred: August 27, 1997 

This is actually a dream turned premonition. I remember the setting in this dream was night time and very late. I was up watching TV and a news bulletin interrupted the program I was watching. The story that was being told was that of a high profile woman who was just killed in a car accident. I saw the wrecked car and all I could remember was how saddened I was thinking of the popular and well known woman that was now was dead. I remember saying how this event would sadden the entire world for sure. I then woke up not knowing for sure who it was, but based on how I felt, I thought the woman was an actress or maybe had Royal ties. I explained the dream to my wife and I told her to remember this for the next few days just in case this does happen.
  
On August 31, 1997 Princess Diana died from injuries sustained in a car accident just hours before. My wife and I were in Lake George vacationing that night and we were watching TV when the News Bulletin came across the screen announcing that Princess Diana was involved in a serious accident in Paris France. Almost immediately I remembered my dream and it was like a replay only this time it was for real, and now I knew who it was. I cannot even begin to explain to you how empty, scared and saddened I was when I heard them say who it was and how she got hurt. Then, about 2-3 hours after the accident, they announced she had died. I began thinking to myself how many people all across the world are now saddened. I also asked “Why? Why me? Why did I have to see this in my dream, and what could I have done to stop this?”

As these dreams or premonitions continue to occur, I find myself asking this every time when they come true. Maybe someday I will be able to use this and actually prevent a major tragedy or even help someone.
