| We're
not exactly sure what is going on in Dudleytown, but we did find
this 35mm picture taken by John Helstosky while he and Joe
Franke were visiting there one sunny afternoon. John took this
photo because of the odd pattern in the bark of this tree, but
when the film was developed, we were shocked to find what we
believe to be an apparition to the right of the tree. It appears
to be that of a woman in 18th century clothing, white dress with
puffy sleeves and she has dark hair. Also, when we blew it up,
we discovered that there quite possibly could be a second face
below her! One of the myths of Dudleytown is that of a married
woman who lost her husband and along with other tragedies of the
town she became so depressed that she hung herself from one of
the tall trees of Dudleytown. Could this be just a strange
coincidence of lighting or an effect of the sun, or is this
really an apparition of the woman? What do you think? |
