Ok, this is an experience when my friends and I were fooling around
having some fun at Hookman's Cemetery in Seymour, CT. The story is
something about a man called Hookman haunting the cemetery and how some
kid was mysteriously hung by a tree with a hook through his neck
although I am not to sure of the validity to the story. I really am just
looking for an explanation of what happened when i was there. My friends
and I were there around 11 or 12 at night and it was then that they and
I saw something from behind what i believe is where Hookman's grave is
located. Anyways, it looked like a white blanket that was glowing and
waving back and forth, almost like a cape in the wind floating probably
about a foot off of the ground. My friends and I ran towards this
"blanket", but when we got close, it disappeared! When we
returned to the rest of the group, it reappeared again. After that,
another strange thing happened when I put my hand down this deep hole
and experienced a weird feeling all over my arm. The hole was on the far
end of the cemetery away from where the "blanket" sighting
was. I put my arm down it and it was cold until i got to the end and it
was quite warm which was very weird. Then, we heard some sounds which we
just dismissed as the wind by everyone there but we heard it again later
and it was louder and more distinct. It sounded like people were
mumbling and or moaning about something. The sounds were like voices of
people who were trying to warn us of something. We traveled deeper into
the cemetery and came across some very odd foot prints which were felt
were too big to be human prints. They seemed prints made by a large bear
or something similar. I really wasn't able to make odds or ends of this
whole experience but nothing unusual has happened since then. Its not
even that scary, but I was just looking for an answer of as to what
happened.
