Updated 07-05-2010 - This section was created specifically for EVP's. EVP or Electronic Voice Phenomenon are disembodied voices captured by a recording device such as cassette recorder, video or camcorder that is not heard by the human ear at the time of the recording. The EVP on this page have been obtained by CPRS members using audio cassette recorders, or were discovered on video sound tracks from camcorders used during investigations. The recordings were then "cleaned" (filtered for noise reduction) and changed into both .WAV and .MP3 formats. The .MP3 format of the file is ideal for minimizing download time by compressing the file into a smaller byte size file (a little quality may be lost, but over all the result is very good). EVP is a fascinating phenomena and it remains a mystery as to how or why they appear on tape but is not heard by the human ear until play back. Many hours of reviewing evidence is needed to find this phenomena and CPRS is committed to our clients to devoting out time and efforts to review the evidence we obtain on every investigation.

If you have any mysterious or unexplained sounds you would like to have posted, E-mail us! The sound files posted here are protected by copyright laws and belong to CPRS and cannot be reproduced or posted at any other web site without written permission by CPRS or it's originators.

"moan...I'm just over her head" - In 1993, while investigating a Haunted House in Danbury CT, a VHS camcorder was used to record the events in a dark room. Orlando’s wife, Donna, was lying on the couch because the night before the spirits of two old ladies appeared to her while she slept on the couch. When the tape's audio was analyzed, we discovered a voice saying "moan...I'm just over her head". Shortly after the voice is heard, you can hear Orlando whispering as he describes to another investigator that he had just seen a pin light over Donna.   "moan...I'm all that's left" - This EVP appeared on VHS video tape that was taken on an investigation of the apartment in Danbury CT. (Orlando & his wife Donna used to live here). The setting is the same as mentioned in the previous EVP, except this one occurs about 3 minutes before the other voice. After cleaning the clip with software and then listening with head phones, we still have a hard time making out what the voice is saying. To our best judgment, It sounds like the voice is saying "moan...I'm all that's left". (please be advised of copyright laws). Email us your thoughts.

"..go...Go!" - CPRS performed an investigation at Guntown Cemetery in Naugatuck CT one week before Halloween of 1999. We placed an audio recorder in the far corner of the cemetery and we then addressed the spirits to use the device to communicate with us if they wished. We continued to investigate the cemetery far away from the recorder and when we analyzed the tape, we were surprised at the voice that we captured of a man saying "go..(3-4 second pause)...GO!" We are ABSOLUTELY certain that the voice was not produced by any of our investigators and the tape was brand new from a sealed container. (please be advised of copyright laws). Email us your thoughts.   "Cat's meow" - In November of 2007 CPRS conducted an investigation at a Branford CT residential home. During the investigation, Gary "The Psychic" was channeling several spirits that dwelled the property. We recorded the entire event with a Camcorder and Micro-cassette recorder. When we played back the Micro-cassette we discovered that we recorded the sound of a cat meowing. The funny part if that the home owner did not own a cat and never did. This is one of the rare times when the spirit of a cat is recorded instead of something human. Take a listen and Email us your thoughts.

"...no" - July, 2008 - During an interview for a possible investigation at a haunted home in Meriden, we were talking with the home owner, and her sister, upstairs on the second floor. They were explaining to us the things that they were experiencing and how a Priest was called in the bless the house. During the clip, you will hear Joe ask the women if any activity occurred while the Priest was there. You will then hear both females answer "no", followed by a third female voice (or child) whisper "no". There was nobody else in that room, or the house, except Joe, Orlando, the home owner, and her sister. Email us your thoughts.   "woman speaking" - July, 2008 - During an investigation at a residence in Meriden CT, CPRS investigator Yvonne Burke caught this EVP on her digital recorder. The only people in the room at the time of the recording were Yvonne and fellow investigator Audrey Elder. The voice you will hear is that of a woman and possibly another woman, or child, answering her. We believe that the voice in this EVP is speaking in a different language, and can quite possibly be older Native American. CPRS is still analyzing this recording but would like your help. If any of our viewers can identify the language and can translate what this woman is saying, please contact us by email.

"can you hear?..house of prayer..HELP US" - August 2008 - During an investigation at Hell Hollow Rd. in Voluntown CT, CPRS captured this fascinating EVP shortly after, a psychic/Medium had just completed a channeling session of a few resident spirits. Before the psychic started channeling he described a small "shack" that used to stand right where we were standing. This 'shack was a make-shift facility for something else but he couldn't identify for sure what it was. He said he could see"fixtures" or "symbolic objects" inside of the shack and that he didn't know why they were there. After reviewing our micro-cassette recorder we stunned at the amazing EVP we had just recorded. To us, it sounds like a man softly saying "can you hear...house of prayer...HELP US". After analyzing the circumstances at the time of this recording, we strongly feel that this entity was validating the psychic's vision of the shack by calling it "House of Prayer". CPRS is scheduled to return to Hell Hollow Rd. sometime soon and continue to find answers. To view the FEARnet.com production click here. Please Email us your thoughts.   "...no" - August 2008- This is the second EVP captured during an investigation at Hell Hollow Rd. that was being filmed for a Fearnet.com special called "Streets of Fear". We caught this EVP about 5-10 minutes after the previous EVP and at the time of the recording, Joe Franke is asking the psychic about the entity that he senses. In the clip, Joe asks "do you feel that I need to come back and confront this entity?", the psychic then responds "no"...and then there is a third voice that whispers "no". CPRS is scheduled to return to Hell Hollow Rd. soon and hopes to find some answers. To see theFEARnet.com production click here, or on the Media link above. Email us your thoughts.

"...rrrrita" - Enfield CT 2008 - During an investigation in Enfield CT, an EVP was caught by Leo Calonico while in the basement of the home. In the EVP, is sounds like an spanish speaking male saying the name "Rita". With his accent, it sounds like he is saying it "...rrrrrita". Email us your thoughts.

"...hello?" - Groton CT - This EVP was caught by Leo Calonico while on an investigation in Groton CT. Seconds before this EVP was captured, Orlando Ferrante was calling out to the spirits, or entities, and was greeting them with a loud "Hello". About 4 seconds after, a woman's voice is heard responding "...hello?". Email us your thoughts.

“…Su-san” – Groton CT – This EVP was captured by CPRS investigator, Paul Proto, while investigating an alleged haunted house in Groton CT. Paul was doing EVP work on the second floor asking questions and at one point asked the spirit to tell him his name. When he reviewed the audio on his digital recorder he heard a woman answer “…Su-san”.   “Sue-Shaw” – Groton CT 2008 – CPRS investigated a vacant house that was alleged to be haunted back in 2008. Investigator Paul Proto was doing EVP work on the second floor asking various questions while observing EMF and temperature readings. When Paul reviewed his digital recorder he heard what sounded like a man say “Sue-Shaw”. There was nobody else on the floor or in the room with Paul at the time of this recording. Also, this is the second EVP with the name of Sue mentioned.

“Hot in here” – Groton CT 2008 – Paul Proto caught this EVP while on an investigation in Groton CT. The home was vacant and on the market to be sold. CPRS was given full access to the home for that evening and the home owner had turned the heat on in the home specifically for the investigation. Paul and his recording device were on the second floor and when he reviewed the audio he heard a man say “..Hot in here”   "...faucet noises" - Westport CT 2009 - during an investigation in Westport CT, CPRS investigator, Jessica Ouellette, captured this remarkable EVP of what sounds like a water faucet turning on and off. It was recorded with a digital audio recorder that was left upstairs in a bedroom where most of the activity in the house was reported. There was nobody upstairs at the time of this recording. In the background, you can hear CPRS investigators, on the first floor, conducting their investigation. These noises were exactly what the homeowner had reported, and we were glad that we could validate the claim to the homeowner with this EVP. Email us your thoughts.

"...Pant" - Westport CT 2009 - this EVP was captured by Orlando Ferrante on an investigation at a home in Westport CT during an instigation this past May of 2009. Orlando captured this EVP with his recording device upstairs on the second floor where most of the activity had been reported. During the recording, Gary (psychic) was giving a reading on the house and the room specifically to the homeowner. Orlando felt compelled to walk into the adjacent room with his recording device and captured what sounds like a person “panting” or hyperventilating. The weird part of all this is that before this EVP was captured, both Orlando and the psychic had felt a heaviness on their chest, or a sense of anxiety. Listen to the EVP and at the 0:03 second mark you’ll hear the “pant”. Email us your thoughts.   "...high heels..drawers slamming..doors opening & slamming" - Westport CT 2009 - very good EVP captured by Jessica Ouellette at an investigation that CPRS conducted at a home in Westport CT. Jessica's recording device was left in a bedroom upstairs while the rest of CPRS conducted their investigation on the first floor. What you are about to hear is remarkable in the sense that nobody on the first floor could hear all the noise that Jessica’s recording device caught on the second floor. When you hear this clip you’ll hear at the very beginning what sounds like a woman in high heels walking on hardwood floors opening and slamming drawers and closet doors. This is fascinating in that one of the claims was that the sound of a woman in high heels was heard walking around on the second floor just weeks before this recording! Email us your thoughts.

"Piano Sounds" - this fascinating EVP was captured by Orlando Ferrante at an investigation in Westport CT. This was the third visit to that home where it had been reported to be the center of paranormal disturbances.  On this visit, Orlando was accompanied by a second psychic who had no prior knowledge of the case at hand, and was not told where she was going that evening. Upon observing the first floor it was noted that there was an older piano sitting in the family room area. The psychic felt very strong ties with this piano and the homeowner’s mother who passed away. In the clip, everyone had converged upstairs on the second floor (there were only four people in the house at the time). The psychic was picking up on a male entity that had passed away in a farming accident on the land not too far from where the house currently stood. You can hear the psychic answering questions by the homeowner when at 0:35seconds into the clip the sounds of the piano playing downstairs can be heard (3 notes). We all heard the sound and there was nobody downstairs! Additional piano sounds were also heard at the end of the clip. We all truly felt that this was a sign from the homeowner’s mother who was always fascinated with the piano.  Email us your thoughts.   "...mom" - This remarkable EVP was caught by Orlando Ferrante in Westport CT during a third visit to the home. Orlando had brought along a second psychic to the home that did not have any prior knowledge of the case or where she was going that night. There were only four people in the home at the time, the homeowner’s son was not there at the time of this recording and there were no animals as well. We were all on the first floor discussing the connection of an existing piano and the sounds that we heard upstairs when Orlando and the homeowner’s friend heard a strange inaudible sound next to the homeowner.  They were the only ones who heard it as the homeowner and the psychic were engaged in a deep conversation. Luckily, our digital recorder also heard the sound and when we played the recording back we were shocked at what we all heard! At about 0:03-0:04 seconds into the clip you will hear what sounds like a small child saying “…mmmommm”. The child seems ill, or very tired. I must note here that upon our first visit to the home Orlando picked up on a defining moment in the house’s history. He said that he felt that the setting was in the early 1800’s and that there was a child who was very sick on the second floor, and bed ridden. Family and friends were gathered to pray as the boy eventually passed. Could this EVP be the ghost of the child that Orlando picked up on? Email us your thoughts.

"I want to KIL!" - This EVP was captured by Jessica Ouellette at an old Catholic Church in East Haven CT. It was recorded during an investigation at the Church back in 2007 and was not discovered until this year after cleaning the audio with new software.   "How did you find Vivian?" - This EVP was captured in 1997 by Audrey Elder at a Cemetery in New Haven CT. After processing this audio clip in Adobe Soundbooth and removing background noise, we can clearly hear a man asking "How did you find Vivian?"

"...Audrey" - This EVP was captured by Audrey Elder while on an investigation at the Carousel Garden in Seymour CT. While in the basement, Orlando was describing to Audrey of a woman from the 1800's that he sensed was in the basement with them. When we analyzed the digital recording, we heard a woman calling Audrey by name.   "...I cannot resuscitate" - This EVP was captured by Paul Proto while on an investigation at a private residence in Deep River CT. It was recorded in the basement of the home where there was a well and a story of a woman who may have been tied to the property and the well. To us, it sounds like the woman is saying “I cannot resuscitate”.
